Tina O’Malley is a performer, arts administrator, and educator. She joined Opera Baltimore as Company Manager in August 2024 after stage managing The Impresario during the 2023-2024 Opera Baltimore season.
Prior to working with Opera Baltimore, Tina worked as Assistant Director and Assistant Stage Manager for the opera department at the Peabody Institute in fall 2023. Tina fell in love with the opera world after being introduced to classical singing as an undergraduate vocal performance student. She began her venture into arts administrative work in 2019 working as an intern for Minnesota Opera’s education department, assisting with both Project Opera, a training program for middle and high school students, and outreach programs in historically underserved Minnesota schools. Post-pandemic, Tina interned with OOPS MN (Opera-Oriented Project Sponsorships in Minnesota), where she managed marketing, social media, and community partnerships to provide support for local artists and increase access to opera in Minnesota. As an arts educator, “Miss Tina” has spent the past four summers teaching singing and acting classes to K-12th graders at Northeast Dance Center in Minnesota for their annual Bits of Broadway Camp.
Tina graduated summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas in her home state of Minnesota with degrees in both Music and Digital Media Arts. She graduated from the Peabody Institute in May 2024 with a MM degree in Vocal Performance, studying under acclaimed soprano and Opera Baltimore Board Member, Elizabeth Futral.
