Front of House Staff

Opera Baltimore is seeking enthusiastic and customer-service-oriented individuals to join our Front of House team for upcoming performances and events. Front of House staff play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience for our patrons, ensuring they have an enjoyable and smooth visit from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patrons and assist with seating, ticketing, and providing information about the event.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patrons during events, addressing any questions or concerns.

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees by monitoring the event space and assisting with crowd management.

  • Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent customer service.

  • Assist with post-event duties such as light clean-up and organizing materials for the next event.

Event Schedule & Time Commitment:

  • Events typically occur during evenings and weekends.

  • Call times are approximately 1.5-2 hours before the event start, and dismissal occurs about 30 minutes after the event ends.

  • Specific call times will be provided prior to each event.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or event management is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to various situations.

  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.

  • Must be available for evening and weekend events.

  • Interest in opera or the performing arts is a plus but not required.

Compensation:

  • $17 per hour

  • Payment will only be issued after receipt of a completed W9 form.
